Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains what data the game Worldie (the “Game”) processes, why, who it is shared with, and what your rights are. It applies to the Android and iOS versions of the Game.

1. Who we are

Worldie is developed and published by Glitch Fish, the trade name of WILLY WORKS LTDA, CNPJ 41.398.493/0001-47, located at Rua Professor Samuel Moura, 750, apto. 1305, Judith, Londrina – PR, 86061-060, Brazil. We are the controller of the data described in this policy.

Privacy and data protection contact, including requests to exercise your rights: hi@glitchfish.studio

2. Summary

  • The Game has no sign-up or login and does not ask for your name, email, phone number, photos, or contacts.
  • Your progress, coins, and settings are saved only on your device.
  • We ask for your year of birth to adapt the Game to your age. It stays on your device and is never sent to us or to third parties.
  • For children, the Game does not use advertising identifiers, does not collect usage statistics, and shows only non-personalized ads.
  • We use services from Google (Firebase) and Unity (LevelPlay, Unity Ads and ironSource Ads) for crash reports, statistics, and ads, as described below.
  • We do not sell personal data.

3. Age and restricted mode

When the Game is opened for the first time, it asks for the year of birth without suggesting any answer. If the player is under 13 (or under 16 in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), or if the age cannot be determined, the Game runs in restricted mode:

  • no advertising identifier (such as the Android Advertising ID or Apple’s IDFA) is collected or shared;
  • usage statistics (Firebase Analytics) are turned off;
  • ads are contextual only (non-personalized) and served only by ad networks self-certified for the Google Play Families program;
  • the consent form and Apple’s tracking permission request are not shown.

Age is recalculated each time the Game opens, so the Game leaves restricted mode on its own once the player reaches the minimum age. The year of birth cannot be changed inside the Game; to answer again, the app data must be cleared or the app reinstalled.

To know whether the device is in Europe, the Game uses only the time zone set on the device. The Game does not access your location.

4. What data we process and why

4.1 Data saved only on your device

Year of birth, progress in levels and stadiums, coin balance, active purchases (such as Remove ADS), language, and sound, music, and vibration preferences. This data is not sent to us and is deleted when you clear the app data or uninstall the app.

4.2 Crash reports — Firebase Crashlytics (Google)

Active for all players, so we can find and fix bugs. When the Game closes because of an error, the following is sent: technical details of the error, device model and operating system, Game version, date and time, and a random installation identifier. The report does not include the year of birth or contact details. Google keeps these reports for 90 days.

4.3 Remote configuration — Firebase Remote Config (Google)

Active for all players. It lets us adjust Game values (for example, the balance of the coin economy) without an update. It uses a random installation identifier and technical data about the device and app.

4.4 Usage statistics — Firebase Analytics (Google)

Only outside restricted mode. We record how the Game is used: levels started and completed, stadiums completed, coins earned and spent, in-game purchases, and revenue from ads shown, plus technical data (device model, operating system, Game version, language, approximate country or region, and a random installation identifier). We use this information to understand how the Game is played and to tune difficulty and the economy.

The Game’s Firebase Analytics does not collect any advertising identifier and is not used for advertising. In Europe, it only stores identifiers on the device if you consent. Usage data is kept for up to 14 months after your last activity in the Game and is then kept only in aggregated reports.

4.5 Advertising — Unity LevelPlay, Unity Ads and ironSource Ads

The Game offers rewarded videos (optional, to earn coins) and may show other ads. Ad mediation is provided by Unity LevelPlay, and ads are served by the Unity Ads and ironSource Ads networks, both owned by Unity. If other networks are added to the mediation, this policy will be updated.

To show and measure ads, these companies receive technical data such as IP address, device model and operating system, language, app information, and interactions with the ad.

  • Restricted mode: non-personalized ads, without an advertising identifier.
  • Other players: the advertising identifier may be used for personalized ads and measurement, only with your consent where the law requires it (consent form in Europe and Apple’s tracking permission on iOS).

Buying Remove ADS turns off automatically shown ads. Rewarded videos remain available if you choose to watch them.

For players in Europe outside restricted mode, the Game uses Google’s consent form to record your choices about ads and statistics. Your choices are saved on the device and can be changed at any time in Settings > Privacy. The Game does not currently show Google ads (AdMob); this service is used only for the form.

4.7 Purchases

Coin packs and Remove ADS are sold through Google Play or the App Store. Payment is processed by the store; we do not receive your payment details. We receive only the purchase confirmation (product and order identifier) to deliver the item. Purchases made by children may require approval from a parent or guardian, depending on the store settings (Family Link on Google Play and “Ask to Buy” on Apple).

We process data under Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • crash reports, remote configuration, and purchase delivery: performance of the contract (providing a working Game) and our legitimate interest in keeping the Game stable and secure;
  • usage statistics: legitimate interest in improving the Game and, in Europe, consent for storage on the device;
  • personalized ads: consent;
  • non-personalized ads: legitimate interest in offering the Game for free.

When the player is a child or teenager, processing follows the child’s best interest, as required by article 14 of the LGPD, and is limited to what is described for restricted mode.

6. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. The data described above is processed by the following partners, under their own policies:

We may also share data when required by law or by order of a competent authority.

7. International transfers

Google and Unity servers may be located outside Brazil, mainly in the United States. These transfers follow the safeguards provided by the LGPD and the GDPR, such as the standard contractual clauses adopted by these providers.

8. How long we keep data

  • Data on the device: until you clear the app data or uninstall the app.
  • Crash reports (Crashlytics): 90 days.
  • Usage statistics (Analytics): up to 14 months after the last activity; after that, only aggregated reports without identification.
  • Advertising data: according to the policies of Unity and the ad networks.

9. Your rights and how to control your data

Under the LGPD, you may request: confirmation that we process your data, access, correction, anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data, portability, information about who we share data with, withdrawal of consent, and objection to processing. Players in Europe have equivalent rights under the GDPR.

You can control your data directly:

  • In-game privacy: in Settings > Privacy (for players in Europe), to change your consent.
  • Personalized ads on Android: device Settings > Privacy > Ads (on some versions, Google > Ads), to delete or reset the advertising ID.
  • Tracking on iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
  • Delete everything from the device: clear the app data or uninstall the Game.

For other requests, write to hi@glitchfish.studio. Because the Game has no accounts and does not collect names or emails, we cannot link Firebase data to a person; we may therefore ask for technical information to locate the data, or explain how it is deleted automatically within the periods above.

You may also file a complaint with Brazil’s National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) or, in Europe, with the data protection authority of your country.

10. Children

Worldie is a game for all ages, including children. For children, the Game runs in the restricted mode described in section 3. We do not ask for or collect contact details from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have processed a child’s data improperly, contact us at hi@glitchfish.studio.

11. Security

Data is sent with encryption and processed by providers with recognized security practices. Even so, no system is completely secure.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when adding a new ad network. The last updated date is shown at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be announced in the Game or on its store page.
